Nothing special or out of the ordinary, just wanted to share the few Halloween cookies I was able to make this year.
More Halloween treats to come next week!

My coworker Jaz asked me to make sweets for his wife for their 3rd anniversary. He said I could make whatever I wanted! He had not yet tried my cookies, so I definitely wanted to include some cookies… and then I thought, what is more romantic than chocolate covered strawberries?! Together they would make a cute little love tray.
Here is the picture I used for color inspiration (since he had no idea what colors would be good)…
… and here are my colors. My pink came out a little more purple, but I still love how they looked together.
Here are the cookies. I stuck with hearts. Cuz they’re all lovey and stuff.
and the romantic strawberries…
On a side note, I know 3 people (they happen to all be men) who don’t like chocolate covered strawberries. Why you might be wondering? Because they don’t like strawberries. WHAT? How is that even possible? They must be aliens or something.
What a lucky lady you have, Jaz!
This may be the most intimidating set of cookies I have ever agreed to do… but it turned out one of the best!
Matthew was having a Scooby Doo party and his mom Michelle surprised him with these matching cookies!
I made Scooby faces….
Scooby Snacks (bones) which topped the birthday cupcakes (I did not make the cupcakes; mom added them when she got home).
…and Mystery Machines! These were tough and may have almost made me crazy, but all that goes out the window when they turn out so cute!
I’m so glad Michelle and Matthew loved their cookies. They’re definitely going to stick with me!

I made cookies for a baby shower… the colors on the invite were grey, light orange, and baby blue.
I did the standard onesies, and tried out carriages for the first time… ya know, standard baby shower stuff… then I got it in my head to make an actual baby.
I used this design by Karen’s Cookies as my inspiration. I just LOVE the way they turned out. I don’t have the cute little baby cutter, so I used my teddy bear and cut his little ears off. The same teddy bear I used to make these cookies actually. What a versatile little fella…
I know I just posted about my favorite cookies, but I think these may have topped my list.
They took me for-e-ver… but it was worth it in the end.
P.S. Yes I know there are only 4 toes. It’s all I could fit.

Recently I saw another blogger (hi Hayley!) do a favorites roundup with her taste testers and I thought it would be fun to do something similar!
The people below I chose because they have tried most of what I make. I asked them to choose their favorite treat based on taste, and their favorite decorated cookies based on looks. So here we go!
Christopher is my little brother/roommate. He is a sweet-a-holic, especially when it comes to chocolate. He probably tries more treats than anyone else. His all-time favorite treat is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies.
Christopher’s favorite decorated cookies were the SF Giants Cookies (Here is another round of giants cookies I made).
Jeri is one of my coworkers and very good friends of my mom. She loved the Rolo Blondies…
and The Lorax Cookies. I made some of these for her grandson, so she’s a little biased. 😉
Rodger is another coworker of mine. He likes all things sweet and had a hard time picking a favorite. His favorite tasting are actually the decorated sugar cookies, but he also liked the Fireball Frosting cupcakes.
My Mom loved the Cake Mix Peanut Butter Brownies. Good choice Mom, those were on my top list too.
For sugar cookies, my mom picked the Unicorn Poop Cookies. They’re not exactly “decorated cookies” but I will let it slide because I think they’re pretty too. Aaaaaand it’s by far my most viewed post.
Apryle is my coworker, another good friend of my mom’s, and might just be my biggest fan. She loved so many things that we had to do a basketball style bracket to get it down to 1 item. The winner was the S’more Pops (made here and here).
The Australia Cookies were her favorites, maybe because I made them for her daughter. 🙂 (hi Mal!) Her other honorable mentions included Bubblegum Marshmallows, Bubblegum Cupcakes, Orange Soda Cupcakes, and Chocolate Dipped Peeps.
Travis is my husband. He is picky. His world revolves around cookies of all kinds. Which is why I was surprised that his all-time favorite thing was Key Lime Pie. It was also my favorite, so I’m not going to argue. It’s unfortunate that only 6 people got to try it. I will have to make it again soon! Travis’ favorite decorated cookies are “the broken or ugly ones” because those are the only ones he’s allowed to eat. 🙂 And since there are no pictures of those tragedies, you will have to use your imagination.
Last but not least, my favorites. I don’t know how accurate this is, I had a hard time picking. I already mentioned Key Lime Pie, so I will just skip over that. I have mentioned it probably a thousand times now, but I don’t really like chocolate. Despite that, my top list includes Caramel Brownies aka Best Brownies Ever, Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies, and Cookie Dough Truffles – all which have chocolate in them!
Another favorite of mine is Funfetti Marshmallows. I love funfetti anything, but the texture of it in the mallows is just heaven.
As far as my favorite decorated cookies, I loved the Tool Cookies and the Popcorn Cookies. I also love making baby onesies. There are a lot of those so I won’t attach a million pictures. 🙂
That wraps up the favorites, thanks for following along and I hope you enjoyed seeing old favorites!

Zach (who I made these cookies for last year) is now 7!
He wanted a Giants themed party, so I went to town with my baseball cutters.
I made the traditional baseballs and bats, as well as baseball hats for the first time.
Per tradition, I also made Z’s and 7’s in matching colors. Good thing it’s also Halloween season, I found these black and orange sprinkles that went perfectly with the Giants colors!
The jersey cookie was made especially for Zach. As soon as I brought the cookies over, he wanted to eat it immediately! **Zach actually told me later that I spelled the last name wrong. Oops!**
I also made these awesome SF Giants colored bridges, since the “bridge” is such a huge part of San Francisco, whether it’s the Bay Bridge or the Golden Gate, or any of the others.
See that SF symbol up there? I have made them before, but this time I decided to freehand it.
I started with a basic thin line…
Then shaped around it until I had the right angles and edges!
Here are all of the cookies together, ready for the party!

I am so in love with these pink gems!
The designs were sent to me by the mama, she found them online. I just mimicked them with my own style of frosting/icing. And they turned out better than I expected!
The cake on the cake stand is identical to the cake ordered for the party.

Does everyone know my friend Nate? His blog Nate Makes Cookies is not only hilarious, but it’s a fun creative take on food blogging. He makes only Martha Stewart Cookie Recipes and writes about his experience, (sometimes) problems, and how everyone loves each recipe. It’s honestly one of my favorite blogs to read!
Annnnyways… Nate recently emailed me asking if I wanted to do a “foodie pen pal” thing and send each other local foods and some homemade cookies. Of course I was on board!!
I made these cookies for Nate:
(if you go see his site you’ll see why I did this design!)
I also had to throw in some California cookies because he is in Oregon. I got my inspiration for these from Andrea of Cupookie. I saw these California cookies she did and knew I had to make my own version!
If you look carefully, the dot on the first “i” is right about at Sacramento. 🙂
So glad you loved your cookies Nate!!

My coworker asked me to make her some wine themed cookies for her friend’s birthday. I had all the cutters already, but I had not yet had the opportunity to use them!
I did 1/2 red wine and 1/2 white wine.
The birthday girl’s name is Rose so I came up with things on the wine labels to go with her name. The first I did a little rose, one said “Rose’s Vine,” one said “B-Day Blend,” and one said “Red as a Rose.”

The little girl that got the Caillou cookies is now 3!
Her theme was The Little Mermaid, but I thought that Ariel and Flounder were a little out of my comfort zone… we came up with a cookie that is more my style, but would still coordinate well with the feel of the party.
All of the decorations were pink and purple, but I added some bubbles to go with the “under the sea” theme.
