These chocolate peanut butter cookies are decorated with all white vanilla buttercream. I just love the way the designs pop against the dark cookie!
I decorated each snowflake with a unique design.
I thought I would run out of ideas, but I just kept making them up as I went along.. my husband helped design a couple. (The bottom left snowflake in the pic above was partly his design.)

Hi Carrie! I have a holiday bake sale and this buttercream sounds like just what I need. I planned on making snowflakes! If they turn out half as good as these I will be lucky. I might make cakes but cookie frosting is defiantly a gift you have !
Thank you!! I use this buttercream on my cupcakes and my cookies! It’s stable and easy to pipe, dries nicely, and is a cinch to throw together!
I always assumed you used royal Icing on your cookies. Does butter cream work better for you?
On my cookies I use buttercream to outline and detail. I use a simple icing to fill in (just powdered sugar and milk).
